Remember Your Loved Ones

Deane and I went for a late season drive up the Dunstan Trail between Linnburn Runs and Poolburn. The weather was starting to deteriorate but the light was fantastic.
Near the summit of our climb we came across this cross. It was starting to snow but I went for a closer look. When I got around the front of the cross I was stunned to see that it read “remember your loved ones”. The light was perfect and I took the shot as the first flakes of snow began to fall.
To this day I still don’t know who put the cross in this remote location or why it is there. However, this is a poignant reminder about family, friends and loved ones.
