This elegant landscape is inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Kakanui Mountains and once again reflects the influence of renowned New Zealand printmaker, Marilyn Webb,  The layers of earthy tones, ranging from deep browns and burnt oranges to delicate creams, create a sense of depth and tranquility. The use of simplified lines and muted colors emphasizes the natural contours of the mountains, giving the viewer a sense of serenity and connection to the land.  This image won a Silver Distinction award and was part of Janyne's portfolio as Landscape Open Photographer of the Year at the 2024 NZIPP Iris Photography Awards.
